2TB WD drive just up an died with no warning. I had a backup but not before some new pictures and documents had been transferred. Tried all manner of software fixes, including using MHDD. BIOS saw the drive but stated it's space at 0MB. As software fixes come up empty I am assuming mechanical failure. Yes I know it's ridiculously expensive thank you. If any local data recovery services are available any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your data. I've been holding onto an old drive for about 4+ years now, hoping that I'll someday be able to recover the data. Does your drive make a "clicking" noise? If so, that's more serious and will most likely have to undergo one of the more extensive and expensive repairs. Please post back if you are able to find a service to restore your data.
